Network Discovery Properties Dialog Box: Schedule Tab

Use this tab to specify schedules for Network Discovery. Network Discovery will run according to each schedule in the schedule list.

New schedules and schedule changes go into effect immediately if the site database is on the computer that is running Network Discovery. If not, Network Discovery takes 15 to 30 minutes to get schedule information about a local subnet, and about an hour for remote subnets.

Each schedule runs Network Discovery as currently configured; it is not possible to assign different configurations of Network Discovery to different schedules (which might be desirable if you want to vary the length of discoveries and times of day the discoveries run in order to minimize the traffic on your network). However, the same effect can be achieved by running Network Discovery from different servers, using a different configuration and schedule on each server.
