Status Reporting Properties Dialog
Box: General Tab
Use this tab to configure how client and server components
report status.
Caution The
default reporting settings are appropriate for most environments
and should be changed with caution. Increasing the level of status
reporting by choosing to report all status details can place too
great a load on the site. Decreasing the level of status reporting
can limit the usefulness of the status summarizers.
Server component status reporting
Controls which status messages, generated by server components,
are reported and which messages are ignored.
Report
Reports certain types and
severities
of status messages to Status Manager:
All milestones and all details
All milestone and detail messages are reported.
All milestones
All milestone messages are reported. This is the default
setting.
Error and warning milestones
Only error and warning milestone messages are reported.
Error milestones
Only error milestone messages are reported.
Report details on failure
Reports detailed status messages when an error occurs between
milestones. This option is enabled only if Report is
selected. If All milestones and all details is selected,
this option is disabled because details are already being
reported.
Log
Logs certain levels and severities of status messages to the
Windows NT Event Log. The options are the same as for
Report.
Log details on failure
Logs a detail status message when an error occurs between
milestones. This option is enabled only if Log is selected.
If All milestones and all details is selected, this option
is disabled because details are already being reported.
Client component status reporting
Controls which status messages generated by client components
are reported and which messages are ignored. The options are the
same as for Server component status reporting.
