To find information about the database that VMM is currently connected to, view Database Connection settings in Administration view.

To view information about the VMM database

  1. In Administration view, in the navigation pane, click General, and then click Database Connection in the results pane.

  2. In the Actions pane, under Settings, click Modify.

    The dialog box displays the database server, SQL Server instance, and database that VMM is connected to. These settings are read-only.

Note
If you used the default instance of SQL Server (either “MSSQLSERVER” or, for SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, “SQLExpress”) instead of a named instance for VMM, the SQL Server instance name will be blank.
