To modify the properties of a deployed virtual machine, use the Properties action in the Virtual Machines or Library views or by double-clicking the virtual machine in the results pane.

To modify the properties of a virtual machine
  1. On the General tab, optionally specify a cost center and tag for the virtual machine and modify the computer name, owner, or operating system description. For information, see How to Modify General Properties of a Virtual Machine.

  2. On the Hardware Configuration tab, modify hardware settings for the virtual machine. For information, see Configuring Hardware

  3. On the Checkpoints tab, create, edit, and merge checkpoints for the virtual machine, or restore the virtual machine to a previous checkpoint. For information, see How to Manage Checkpoints.

  4. On the Custom Properties tab, add up to 10 custom properties to the virtual machine. For information, see How to Add and Display Custom Fields for a Virtual Machine.

  5. On the Settings tab, configure the virtual machine to be used by a self-service user or group. For information, see How to Configure a Virtual Machine for Self-Service

  6. On the Actions tab, optionally specify actions to perform on the virtual machine when Virtual Server starts and stops on the host. If the host computer supports hardware-assisted virtualization, specify whether or not to use this capability for the virtual machine.
