You can use the SCRM Administrator console to remove a data source that is not needed. You can remove a data source only if no previous DTS jobs for the data source have been run; otherwise, you can only disable the data source.
When a data source is disabled, no data transfer occurs from the data source to the SCRM warehouse until the data source is re-enabled.
Grooming jobs associated with a deleted or disabled data source are not disabled. Data is groomed-out as it ages.

After you remove an SMS data source, you need to manually remove the SMS Site Server domain account from the SCRM_Staging share permissions because it is not removed by the following procedure. |
To remove a data source

Open the SCRM Administrator console.

Select the Data Sources node.

In the right pane, right-click the data source you want to remove.

Select Delete Data Source.

In the displayed message box, select OK to delete the data source.

If the data source cannot be removed, use the following procedure to disable the data source.
To disable a data source

Open the SCRM Administrator console.

Select the Data Sources node.

In the right pane, right-click the data source you want to disable.

Select Disable.

In the displayed message box, select OK to disable the data source.
