Create New DTS Jobs

Navigate to Data Warehouse -Jobs node in the console tree
Right-click Jobs and select New DTS Job in the displayed context menu
In the New DTS Job dialog box, enter the configuration settings in the appropriate tabs as follows:
- Select the data source for the new DTS job in the General tab. Use this tab to enable/disable the DTS job.
- To select the synchronization method for an SMS DTS job, use the Synchronization tab.
- To edit the Run As account for specified jobs, use the Account tab.
- To set the schedule for the specified DTS job, use the Schedule tab.

Note

If you want to create a new DTS job for a specified data source instance in the Data Sources node, perform the following:
- Navigate to Data Sources - <Data Source Instance> -Jobs node in the console tree.
- Right-click Jobs and select New DTS Job in the context menu.
The New DTS Job dialog settings can be configured in the same way. The New DTS Job dialog box displayed has a pre-populated, read-only Data Source dropdown control because the data source is known when the dialog box is launched from a data source instance.
Two DTS jobs are created when SMS 2003 SP2 and above Data Source is added. One job is created by default for MOM 2005 SP1 and above data source.
