ConnectorFrameworkProxy.InitializeWithBookmarkForTiers Method

Updated: April 16, 2012

Initializes the monitoring connector that is required to get alerts by calling GetMonitoringAlertsForTiers and sets the BookMark time to a specified date and time, for all tiered Management Groups. The failures that occurred for the configured tiers are returned. Namespace: Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ConnectorFramework
Assembly: Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager (in Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager.dll)Dim instance As ConnectorFrameworkProxy Dim connectorId As Guid Dim utcBookmarkTime As DateTime Dim failures As ConnectorTieredOperationFailure() instance.InitializeWithBookmarkForTiers(connectorId, utcBookmarkTime, failures)Public Sub InitializeWithBookmarkForTiers ( _ connectorId As Guid, _ utcBookmarkTime As DateTime, _ <OutAttribute> ByRef failures As ConnectorTieredOperationFailure() _ )public void InitializeWithBookmarkForTiers ( Guid connectorId, DateTime utcBookmarkTime, out ConnectorTieredOperationFailure[] failures )public: void InitializeWithBookmarkForTiers ( Guid connectorId, DateTime utcBookmarkTime, [OutAttribute] array<ConnectorTieredOperationFailure^>^% failures )public void InitializeWithBookmarkForTiers ( Guid connectorId, DateTime utcBookmarkTime, /** @attribute OutAttribute() */ /** @ref */ ConnectorTieredOperationFailure[] failures )ParametersconnectorIdThe globally unique identifier (GUID) for the monitoring connector to initialize.utcBookmarkTimeA timestamp bookmark. The monitoring connector's bookmark will be set to this bookmark time.failuresThe array of failures that may have occurred for various tiers.

The MonitoringConnector must be set up and initialized before any alerts can be retrieved. This method initializes the monitoring connector for subsequent calls with the specified stored bookmark.

Attempting to initialize a monitoring connector that is already initialized results in an exception with the "The connector is already in the given state." warning. It is advisable to perform a check of the Initialized property to determine if the monitoring connector is already initialized before attempting to initialize the monitoring connector.
