When you run a simulation and hardware components differ from Operations Manager recommendations or requirements, the following validation messages can appear:
We recommend that the <ComponentName> should have at least <Value> GB of RAM. Currently this server has <Value> GB of RAM.
We recommend that the <ComponentName> should have at least <Value> GB of RAM when there are 500-4999 agents. Currently this server has <Value> GB of RAM and there are <Number> agents.
We recommend that the passive node of the clustered root management server should have at least 2 GB of RAM.
Typically, one of the listed adjustment messages appears when you have modified a capacity model by adding a server to the capacity model that cannot adequately support a software component.
To adjust the hardware or computer configuration, use one or more of the following procedures, found in Capacity Planner 2007 Help:
- To edit a server hardware configuration in the Model
Editor in the How to Edit a Server Hardware Configuration or a
Server Role in the Model Editor topic to modify the amount of
RAM
