You use the Exchange Server 2007 Model Wizard to enter summary information about your Exchange Server infrastructure.
You use the Model Wizard pages to specify the following information:
- Site and network information for Mailbox and client-only
sites
- Number of users
- Average user demand
- Hardware preference
- Whether replication, clustering, and passive servers are used
and what type of redundancy, if any, is used
After you specify your desired topology and expected application usage in the Model Wizard, the wizard displays a summary and then generates a capacity model based on your input. You can then run a simulation or edit the capacity model using the Model Editor.
Note |
---|
The Exchange Server 2007 Model Wizard does not generate a capacity model containing more than 50 servers per server role. |
