The following validation messages can appear when Exchange Server 2007 server roles are hosted on a computer that does not meet memory or processor recommendations:
We recommend that the Edge Transport Server role should be installed on a server with no more than 16 GB of RAM.
We recommend that the Edge Transport Server role should be installed on a server with at least 2 processor cores.
We recommend that the Edge Transport Server role should be installed on a server with at least 1 GB of memory per processor core.
We recommend that the Hub Transport Server role should be installed on a server with no more than 16 GB of RAM.
We recommend that the Hub Transport server role should be installed on a server with at least 2 processor cores.
We recommend that the Hub Transport Server role should be installed on a server with at least 1 GB of memory per processor core.
We recommend that the Mailbox Server role should be installed on a server with no more than 32 GB of RAM.
We recommend that the Mailbox Server role should be installed on a server with at least 2 processor cores.
We recommend that the Mailbox Server role should be installed on a server with no more than 8 processor cores.
We recommend that the Client Access Server role should be installed on a server with at least 2 processor cores.
We recommend that the Client Access Server role should be installed on a server with no more than 8 processor cores.
We recommend that the Client Access Server role should be installed on a server with no more than 16 GB of RAM.
We recommend that the Client Access Server role should be installed on a server with at least 2 GB of memory per processor core.
We recommend that consolidated server roles should be installed on a server with 4 processor cores.
We recommend that consolidated server roles should be installed on a server with no more than 32 GB of RAM.
Typically, one of these adjustment messages appears when you add an Exchange Server role to a server that does not meet CPU or RAM recommendations.
