Use this Model Editor action dialog to edit a network connection. Depending on the connection you select in the Model Editor, various elements appear in this action dialog.
The following elements appear in the Edit connection action dialog when you select a network connection that connects a server to a network switch.
- From Server
- This item is automatically determined by Capacity Planner.
- To Network
- Select the network switch to connect to.
- Bandwidth
- Select the network speed of the connection.
The following elements appear in the Edit connection action dialog when you select a SAN network connection.
- From Storage Array
- This item is automatically determined by Capacity Planner.
- To SAN Switch
- Select the SAN switch to connect to.
- Interconnect Speed
- Select the interconnect speed of the connection.
- Interconnect Count
- Enter the number of interconnects.
The following elements appear in the Edit connection action dialog when you select a WAN network connection.
- Site

- Site Name: The site name is automatically determined by
Capacity Planner.
- Perimeter Network: The perimeter network is
automatically determined by Capacity Planner.
- Site Name: The site name is automatically determined by
Capacity Planner.
- WAN

- WAN Name: The WAN name is automatically determined by
Capacity Planner.
- WAN Name: The WAN name is automatically determined by
Capacity Planner.
- Connection Speed

- Uplink Bandwidth (Site to WAN): Choose the network speed
of this connection.
- Available (%): Enter the percentage of amount of network
bandwidth available to this uplink connection. Capacity Planner
calculates utilization between sites based upon available network
bandwidth.
- Downlink Bandwidth (WAN to Site): Choose the network
speed of this connection.
- Available (%): Enter the percentage of network bandwidth
available to this downlink connection. Capacity Planner calculates
utilization between sites based upon available network
bandwidth.
- Uplink Bandwidth (Site to WAN): Choose the network speed
of this connection.
The following elements appear in the Edit connection action dialog when you select a client connection.
- From Client Profile
- This item is automatically determined by Capacity Planner.
- To Network
- Select the network that clients connect to.
- Client Connection
- Select the network speed of the client connection.
The following elements appear in the Edit connection action dialog when you select a site to site connection.
- Source Site

- Site Name: The source site name is automatically
determined by Capacity Planner.
- Perimeter Network: The perimeter network is
automatically determined Capacity Planner.
