Perform one of the following Model Editor procedures to add, edit, or delete a SAN. When you add or edit a SAN, you can create a new SAN switch while you are in the appropriate action dialog. If you add a new SAN, you should connect it to a SAN switch. For a list of other tasks you can perform with the Capacity Planner Model Editor, see Capacity Planner Model Editor.

To add a SAN in the Model Editor

  1. Navigate to the Site Topology view.

  2. In the Current View Actions pane, click Add a SAN.

  3. In the Add a SAN to site <SiteName> action dialog, enter a SAN name and choose a SAN configuration.

  4. If you need to connect the SAN to an existing SAN switch, select the name of the SAN switch and then specify the interconnect speed, and interconnect count.

To edit a SAN in the Model Editor

  1. Navigate to the Site Topology view.

  2. Click the SAN that you want to edit.

  3. In the Current View Actions pane, click Edit SAN.

  4. Revise any information as needed.

To delete a SAN in the Model Editor

  1. Navigate to the Site Topology view.

  2. Click the SAN that you want to delete.

  3. In the Current View Actions pane, click Delete.
