Perform the following procedure to identify a resource in your Capacity Planner capacity model that has unacceptably high transaction latency.
To identify a resource with unacceptably high transaction latency
-
In Simulation Results, on the Latency by Site page, look for transaction latencies that do not meet your service level expectation.
-
Click the transaction to view the Device Latency list, which shows the amount of time the transaction spends at each device.
-
Review the Device Latency list and look for any resource that appears to be a bottleneck.
-
If the transaction latency exceeds your expectations, you should consider replacing the bottlenecked resource with a faster resource or one that can handle additional throughput. For information about how to replace resources that have high transaction latency, see How to Add Capacity by Replacing or Adding Resources.
