The following validation message can appear when a SAN connection between a SAN or server and the SAN switch is inadequate for the amount of traffic being sent:
SAN Interconnect <SANInterconnectName> between
<SAN or ServerName> and <SANSwitchName> in
<SiteName> is overloaded
Typically, this adjustment message appears when you have added additional load to the capacity model; for example, adding additional users overloads the SAN connection.
To make the required adjustments, use one or more of the following procedures:
- To edit a SAN in the Model Editor in the How to Add, Edit, or
Delete a Client Profile in the Model Editor topic to add
interconnects to the SAN or to increase the interconnect speed
- To edit a server hardware configuration in the Model
Editor in the How to Edit a Server
Hardware Configuration or a Server Role in the Model Editor
topic to increase capacity by replacing the server hardware
configuration
- One or all of the procedures in the How to Modify a Computer
or Device Configuration in the Hardware Editor topic to reduce
the load on the device by adding devices of the same type
- To edit a client profile in the Model Editor in the
How to Add,
Edit, or Delete a Client Profile in the Model Editor topic to
reduce the load on the device by changing usage parameters
- To move a software component between servers in the
How to Move A
Server Role Between Servers topic to reduce the load on the
device by redirecting load to other servers
