Retrieves the number of MonitoringAlert objects for the specified scope that match the specified filter, with the option to include instances of derived classes. Namespace: Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement
Assembly: Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.OperationsManager (in microsoft.enterprisemanagement.operationsmanager.dll)

Usage

Visual Basic
Dim instance As ManagementGroup
Dim criteria As MonitoringAlertCriteria
Dim monitoringClass As MonitoringClass
Dim traversalDepth As TraversalDepth
Dim returnValue As Integer

returnValue = instance.GetMonitoringAlertsCount(criteria, monitoringClass, traversalDepth)

Syntax

Visual Basic
Public Function GetMonitoringAlertsCount ( _
		criteria As MonitoringAlertCriteria, _
		monitoringClass As MonitoringClass, _
		traversalDepth As TraversalDepth _
) As Integer
C#
public int GetMonitoringAlertsCount (
		MonitoringAlertCriteria criteria,
		MonitoringClass monitoringClass,
		TraversalDepth traversalDepth
)
C++
public:
int GetMonitoringAlertsCount (
		MonitoringAlertCriteria^ criteria,
		MonitoringClass^ monitoringClass,
		TraversalDepth traversalDepth
)
J#
public int GetMonitoringAlertsCount (
		MonitoringAlertCriteria criteria,
		MonitoringClass monitoringClass,
		TraversalDepth traversalDepth
)
JScript
public function GetMonitoringAlertsCount (
		criteria : MonitoringAlertCriteria,
		monitoringClass : MonitoringClass,
		traversalDepth : TraversalDepth
) : int

Parameters

criteria

The criteria that are used to filter out the returned monitoring alerts.

monitoringClass

The monitoring class, along with all its derived classes, defining the range of the returned results.

traversalDepth

A value that modifies the limits of the monitoringClass parameter. A value of OneLevel includes only instances of the specified class in the scope of the returned results. A value of Recursive includes instances of the specified class and all instances that are contained by those instances.

Return Value

An integer representing the number of selected MonitoringAlert objects.
