Change an Agent-managed Computer to an Unmanaged Computer

Use the MOM Administrator console to change how computers are managed. To change an agent-managed computer to an unmanaged computer, you must uninstall the agent on the agent-managed computer.

To change an agent-managed computer to an unmanaged computer

  1. In the Navigation pane, expand Administration, and click Computers.
  2. In the Detail pane, click Agent-managed Computersto display the list of agent-managed computers.
  3. Right-click the name of the agent-managed computer with which you want to work, and click Uninstall Agent.
  4. In the Uninstall Agentsdialog box, click OKto uninstall the agent.

After the agent is removed from the computer that you worked with, the computer is listed in the Navigation pane in the Unmanaged Computers node of Administration/Computers.
