To define a threshold for a performance counter, you must create
a performance threshold rule. A threshold rule is a type of
performance processing rule. It defines a value that can generate
an alert and responses.
To create a threshold processing rule:
Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the
Expand Rules in the left pane.
Expand Processing Rule Groups in the left pane.
Expand the processing rule group to which you want to add the
new threshold rule. For information about creating a processing

Click Performance Processing Rules in the left
Click Action on the menu bar.
Click Compare Performance Data on the Action
Follow the instructions until you have completed creating the
threshold rule. For more information about the fields on a window,
