Configuring Communication Ports

You can change the default TCP/IP port for communications between agents and Consolidators in a configuration group.

To configure the TCP/IP port:

  1. Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the left pane.
  2. Expand Configuration in the left pane.
  3. Click Global Settings in the left pane.
  4. Click Communications in the right pane.
  5. Click Action on the menu bar.
  6. Click Properties on the Action menu.
  7. Specify the desired port number, and then click OK.
  8. Perform a managed computer scan on all agents. For more information about scanning agents, see Scanning Managed Computers.
  9. Stop and restart the OnePoint service on all agent computers.
  10. Stop and restart the OnePoint service on all Consolidator computers.
