Copying a Computer Group

You can copy a computer group, paste it, and modify its properties to create a new computer group. You can copy and paste a computer group within the current Rules snap-in or into a Rules snap-in for another configuration group.

To copy a computer group:

  1. Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the left pane.
  2. Expand Rules in the left pane.
  3. Click Computer Groups in the left pane.
  4. In the right pane, click the computer group you want to copy.
  5. Click the Action menu.
  6. Click Copy on the Action menu.
  7. Click Computer Groups in the left pane. You can paste a computer group only into a Computer Groups folder in a Rules snap-in.
  8. Click the Action menu.
  9. Click Paste on the Action menu.
