Alerts are generated by certain types of processing rules. You
can disable an alert without disabling or deleting the processing
rule. The processing rule will continue to collect information and
run responses, but the alert is not generated.
Disabling an alert in the Monitor requires your user account to
be a member of the Operators (OnePointOps Operators) user group.
For more information, see Requirements and
Permissions.
To disable an alert:
Expand Microsoft Operations Manager (default) in the
left pane.
Expand Monitor in the left pane.
Display the alert. For more information, see Viewing Alerts.
Click the alert in the right pane.
Click Action on the menu bar.
Click All Tasks on the Action menu.
Click View Rule. Note the name of the processing rule in
case you want to re-enable the alert later.
Select the Alert tab.
Clear the Generate alert check box, and then click
OK.
