The inventory tool is a command line utility. The inventory tool requires '/m' option to create multiple output files named HPn.MIF and place them in the NOIDMIF directory on the client node. "n" is integer number starting from "0."
The command line syntax is: HPHwInvTool /m
If "/m" is not specified, IMF data displays on the current console. The inventory tool places the resulting .MIF files in the appropriate client directory so the SCCM can update the database with HP specific inventory information.
