Recovering production for replicas

You use the RecoverProduction for Replica Copy action in ESI to restore a specific copy as a production copy. This restoration action starts from the selected snapshot (point of time) and restores the production source from this copy. The production source, data that is newer than the selected point in time is rolled back and rewritten with version in the copy. The copy’s journal is preserved and remains valid.

To recover production source with a replica copy:

  1. In the left pane of the ESI window, select a replication service.

  2. Click Consistency Groups and select a consistency group.

  3. In the Actions pane, click RecoverProduction for Replica Copy.
