You use the Select Protection Group Type page of the Create New Protection Group Wizard to select the type of computers that you want to protect. You use the Servers option to backup up file and application servers

To select the protection group type

  1. On the Select Protection Group Type page, select Servers to back up your data on file servers and application servers.

    Note
    Before creating the protection group, a protection agent must be installed on the protected computer, and the computer must be online when you configure protection.
  2. Click Next to select the data you want to protect.
