Installing Only Configuration Manager Console Add-in

This section provides information about how to use the Device Manager 2011 Setup Wizard to install only the Configuration Manager Console Add-in component on a site server.

  1. Double-click EDM_Setup.exe or run EDM_Setup.msi.

  2. On the Welcome to Windows Embedded Device Manager 2011 page, click Next.

  3. On the End-User License Agreement page, review the license agreement. If you agree to the terms, click I accept the terms of the License Agreement, and then click Next.

  4. On the Custom Setup page, do the following, and then click Next:

    • Click Server Core Components, and then click Entire feature will be unavailable.
    • Click Device Imaging Service, and then click Entire feature will be unavailable.
    • (Optional) Click Browse to change the installation location.

  5. On the Pre-requisites page, click Next to confirm that you are installing Console add-in.

  6. On the Summary page, review the summary of the installation that you are about to perform, and then click Next.

  7. On the Ready to Install page, click Install.
