cpuPressure
_Total
CPU Pressure is a
percentage which expresses CPU overcommitment, by showing the ratio
of virtual machine vCPU count versus the number of host physical
CPU cores. This metric is unique to the Veeam MP for VMware and can
not be seen in vCenter.
This metric is
based on the setting available in the Veeam Extensions UI named
'RecommendedvCPUPerCore'. This setting can be changed in the Veeam
Extensions UI, on the Veeam Collectors tab, using Collector
Settings link.
This setting is
used to calculate the cpuPressure metric per vSphere host by
converting the ratio to a percentage. When the host is running
total vCPUs (for powered-on VMs) on all host cores equal to the
'RecommendedvCPUPerCore' setting, then the cpuPressure metric will
be equal to 100%.
If the number of
vCPU per Core is exceeded, then this metric can be greater than
100%.
The metric
per-host is rolled up to calculate a total percentage of CPU
overcommit for the cluster.
VMCluster-cpu
cpuUsageMHz
_Total
The current CPU
usage for the vSphere cluster (in MHz).
VMCluster-cpu
cpuUsedPct
_Total
The average of the
physical CPU usage of each vSphere host in the cluster. For
example, if a cluster was composed of 2 vSphere hosts and
HostStats.cpuUsedPct values were 50% and 60%, then this value would
show 55%.
VMCluster-disk
freeStorageTB
_Total
Total amount of
free space for all datastores in the cluster.
VMCluster-memory
memoryPressure
_Total
Rolled up total of
memoryPressure for all vSphere hosts in the cluster. It is
expressed as a percentage, which can go above 100%. It shows
potential memory over-commitment issues in the cluster. This value
is calculated internally in the Collector, so is not visible in
vCenter. Factors used in the calculation include - Total allocated
memory for powered-on VMs, Memory overhead , the effects of TPS
(Transparent Page Sharing), and total available physical memory in
all hosts.
VMCluster-memory
memoryUsedMB
_Total
Physical memory
usage on hosts in the cluster (in MB). The metric is equivalent to
the VMware memory consumed.
VMCluster-memory
memoryUsedPct
_Total
This value is
calculated as ratio of the sum of cluster memoryUsedMB and memory
overhead for all VMs in the cluster vs. the amount of memory
available in the cluster and is expressed as a percentage.
VMCluster-disk
usageRateKB/s
_Total
Sum of
totalDiskUsageRate values for all hosts in this cluster.
VMCluster-net
usageRateKB/s
_Total
Network
utilization, total usage rate at which data is received and
transmitted across all physical NIC instances in the
cluster.
VMCluster
vCPU Count
_Total
Total number of
configured vCPUs for all VMs in this cluster.
VMCluster
vmActive
_Total
Number of active
(i.e., powered up) virtual machines belonging to this
cluster.
VMCluster
vMotions
_Total
Total number of
migrations with vMotion that occurred in the cluster over the
collection interval.
VMCluster
vmShutdown
_Total
Number of virtual
machines in a shutdown (i.e., powered off) state belonging to this
cluster.
VMCluster
vmSuspended
_Total
Number of virtual
machines in a suspended state belonging to this cluster.
