Software update definitions in System Center Updates Publisher are created by using the Create Update Wizard, modified by using the Modify Update Wizard, and deleted by using the Updates Publisher console. When creating software update definitions, the Expression Builder tool is used to add rules.

Note
System Center Updates Publisher 4.0 supports updates that have dependencies, such as drivers and bundles, but these updates cannot be created or modified.
