Identifier is a unique integer for each route in the unattended installation answer file. The identifier is not retained after the answer file is processed and has no impact on IP-routing functionality.

Note
Identifier exists because of a security restriction that requires a single unique key for each setting in a list.The settings under Route must be added in the following order: Identifier, Metric, NextHopAddress, and then Prefix. After saving your Unattend file in Windows SIM, verify in the XML file that the output is shown in the correct order, as shown in the XML example below.
