The information in this topic applies only to Configuration Manager 2007 R2.

Before you can use the reports for client status reporting, you must first import them into your Configuration Manager 2007 R2 site. Use the following procedure to import the reports for client status reporting.

Some reports for client status reporting are designed to be viewed as a chart. To use charts in reports, Office Web Components (Microsoft Office 2000 SP2, Microsoft Office XP, or Microsoft Office 2003) must be installed on the Configuration Manager 2007 site reporting point. Office Web Components are not supported on 64 bit operating systems. If you want to use charts in reports, use 32 bit operating systems for your reporting points.

To import the reports for client status reporting into a Configuration Manager 2007 R2 site

  1. Locate the file ClientStatusReports.mof in the folder %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft ConfigMgr Client Status\Reports on the client status reporting host system. Save this file in a location that is accessible to your Configuration Manager 2007 site server.

  2. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Reporting / Reports.

  3. Right-click the Reports node, and then click Import Objects.

  4. On the Welcome page of the Import Object Wizard, click Next to continue.

  5. On the MOF File Name page of the Import Object Wizard, click Browse to open the Open dialog box. Navigate to the file ClientStatusReports.mof you saved previously, and then click Open to continue.

  6. On the MOF File Name page of the Import Object Wizard, click Next to continue.

  7. On the Objects page of the Import Object Wizard, review the reports that will be imported, and then click Next to continue.

  8. On the Comment page of the Import Object Wizard, review any comments for this file, and then click Next to continue.

  9. On the Completing the Import Object page of the Import Object Wizard, review the actions the wizard has taken.

  10. Click Finish to close the Import Object Wizard.

  11. You can now view the available reports in the Reports node of the Configuration Manager console.

    Note
    You might need to refresh the display of the node before you can view the reports.
