Client status reporting in Configuration Manager 2007 R2 creates two log files in the %PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft ConfigMgr Client Status\logs folder on the client status reporting host system. These files can help troubleshoot issues with client status reporting.

If client status reporting is installed on a computer running a 64-bit operating system, the log files can be found in the folder Program Files(x86) \Microsoft ConfigMgr Client Status\logs. |
The following table lists the log file names and their descriptions.
File Name | Description |
---|---|
UIConfig.log |
Records changes to client status reporting settings in the Client Status Reporting dialog box. |
chService.log |
Logs activities of client status reporting, including client pulse and client ping cycles. |
