Client status reporting in Configuration Manager 2007 R2 creates two log files in the %PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft ConfigMgr Client Status\logs folder on the client status reporting host system. These files can help troubleshoot issues with client status reporting.

Note
If client status reporting is installed on a computer running a 64-bit operating system, the log files can be found in the folder Program Files(x86) \Microsoft ConfigMgr Client Status\logs.

The following table lists the log file names and their descriptions.

File Name Description

UIConfig.log

Records changes to client status reporting settings in the Client Status Reporting dialog box.

chService.log

Logs activities of client status reporting, including client pulse and client ping cycles.
