Use the Network Proxy Properties tab of the Configuration Manager 2007 configuration item properties dialog box to specify the properties of the network proxy settings to distribute to mobile devices.
Specify the name and description of the configuration item to be distributed to mobile devices.
- Description
- Specifies a description of the network proxy delivered to the mobile device. The description should give relevant information that identifies the network proxy and its intended use.
- Connects from
- Specifies whether the network proxy connects from the corporate network or the Internet.
- Connects to
- Specifies whether the network proxy connects from the Internet or the corporate network.
- Proxy
- Specifies the name and port number of the network proxy (ex. Name:Port).
- Type
- Specifies the type of network proxy accessed by the
configuration item, as follows:
- HTTP
- WAP
- SOCKS4
- SOCKS5
- HTTP
- User name
- Specifies the default user name sent for authentication to the network proxy.
- OK
- Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
- Cancel
- Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
- Apply
- Saves the changes and remains in the dialog box.
- Help
- Opens the help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
