The Asset Intelligence synchronization point site system role is used to connect Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 sites to System Center Online to synchronize Asset Intelligence catalog information.

Note
The information in this topic applies only to Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 and later.

To perform scheduled Asset Intelligence catalog synchronizations with System Center Online, the Asset Intelligence synchronization point must be enabled and a synchronization schedule specified on the Asset Intelligence Synchronization Point Properties Schedule tab.

If the Asset Intelligence synchronization point is installed but not enabled, the Asset Intelligence catalog must be manually synchronized with System Center Online. For information about performing manual synchronization of the Asset Intelligence catalog with System Center Online, see How to Manually Request Asset Intelligence Catalog Synchronization.

The following procedure can be used to disable the Asset Intelligence synchronization point.

To disable the Asset Intelligence synchronization point

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database (<site code> - <site name>) / Site Settings / Site Systems.

  2. Right-click the Asset Intelligence Synchronization Point site system computer name, and click Properties.

    Note
If the Configuration Manager console action pane is displayed, the Asset Intelligence Synchronization Point Properties dialog can be viewed by clicking Properties in the action pane.
  3. On the Asset Intelligence Synchronization Point Properties Schedule tab, clear the Enable synchronization on a schedule option to disable the Asset Intelligence Synchronization point.

    Note
If the Configuration Manager console action pane is displayed, the Asset Intelligence Synchronization Point Properties Schedule tab can also be viewed by navigating to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database (<site code> - <site name>) / Computer Management / Asset Intelligence in the Configuration Manager console and clicking Schedule Catalog Synchronization in the action pane.
