Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 supports dragging objects and dropping them onto other objects. The following objects can be moved to any folder in the same feature area:
- Software distribution packages
- Operating system deployment packages
- Driver packages
- Device packages
- Software updates packages
- Software update deployment packages
- Boot images
- Queries
- Advertisements
- Reports
- Software metering rules
- Folders
- Search folders
NoteYou cannot drag objects into search folders because the content of the search folder is determined by the search criteria. - Task Sequences
NoteYou can also drag actions in task sequences to reorder them.

The drag-and-drop operation is not available for any objects in desired configuration management, such as configuration baselines.
