Automatic Software Metering Rule Generation
Configuration Manager 2007 allows you to configure software metering to automatically generate disabled software metering rules from recent usage inventory data held in the Configuration Manager 2007 database. This feature can be configured so that only applications used on a specified percentage of computers will have metering rules created. You can also specify the maximum number of automatically generated software metering rules allowed on the site.
