You can change the assigned site code of a Configuration Manager 2007 client or automatically discover a site from the Windows control panel.

Note
Advanced settings on the Configuration Manager 2007 client are visible only to local administrators.

Use the following procedure to assign the Configuration Manager 2007 client to a new site code:

To assign the client to a new site code:

  1. On the client computer, open the Windows control panel.

  2. Right-click Configuration Manager, and then click Open.

  3. Click the Advanced tab.

  4. In the SMS Site box, type the three-character site code for the SMS site that you want to use or click Discover to automatically find the local site code.

  5. Click OK to save your changes and close the window.
