Configuration baselines in Configuration Manager 2007 can be layered for greater administrative control such that one configuration baseline contains another configuration baseline. If you no longer require a configuration baseline to be included in another configuration baseline, remove it from the configuration baseline rules.

To remove another configuration baseline from a configuration baseline

In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Desired Configuration Management / Configuration Baselines.

Right-click the configuration baseline you want to modify so that it no longer contains another configuration baseline, and click Properties. 
- 
In the Rules tab, navigate to the rule These configuration baselines must also be validated and select the configuration baseline you want to remove. 
- 
Click Delete, and click OK.
