Use the General tab of the Configuration Manager 2007 configuration baseline properties to modify the name, description, and assigned categories of the selected configuration baseline.
This tab contains the following elements:
- Name:
- Specifies the name of the configuration baseline. The name should be unique and descriptive.
- Description:
- Specifies the description for the configuration baseline. The description should give an overview of the configuration baseline and other relevant information that helps identify it among others in the configuration baselines node of the Configuration Manager 2007 console. You can use a maximum of 256 characters for the description.
- Properties:
- Displays the following properties of the configuration
baseline:
- The configuration baseline type
- The version number
- The site code where it was created
- The date and time of creation
- The Windows user account used to create the
configuration baseline
- The date and time of last modification
- The Windows user account used for the last
modification
- The configuration baseline type
- Assigned categories to improve searching and filtering
- Displays the categories (if any) that have been assigned to the configuration baseline.
- Categories
- Opens the Categories dialog box from where you can assign, modify or remove a category for this configuration baseline and also create new categories and delete existing categories.
- OK
- Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
- Cancel
- Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
- Apply
- Saves the changes and remains in the dialog box.
- Help
- Opens the help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
