You can monitor Wake On LAN activity in Configuration Manager 2007 with the following procedures:
- Using the Wake On LAN performance counters
for SMS Wake On LAN Communication.
 
- Identifying wake-up activity for a defined
period with the report History of Wake On LAN activity.
 
To monitor Wake On LAN by using the Wake On LAN performance counters
- 
In the Performance utility, ensure the site server is selected as the target computer and from the Performance object dropdown menu, select SMS Wake On LAN Communication. 
- 
Select either All counters or select Select counters from list:, and click one or more of the following options: - Number of packets per second
 
 
- Total number of packets failed
 
 
- Total number of packets sent
 
 
- Total number of requests pending
 
 
 
- Number of packets per second
- 
Click Add for each Wake On LAN performance counter you require. 
- 
Click Close. 
To identify Wake On LAN activity for a defined period by running a report
- 
In the administrator console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Reporting / Reports. 
- 
In the Reports node, click the Category column to sort the reports so you can more easily find the reports relating to Wake On LAN. 
- 
Right-click the report History of Wake On LAN activity, and then click Run. 
- 
In the Report Information window, either accept the default value of 1 Period in Days or type in your preferred number of days from which you require Wake On LAN activity information, and then click Run. 
- 
In the Report Information window, click Display to view the report.
