The search computer dialog box allows you to search the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 site for computers matching a specific criterion as specified by the administrator. Computers that match the specified criterion are displayed with the following information:
- Name - The name of the computer.
- Last User - The last user account that logged
onto the computer.
- OS - The version of the computer's operating
system.
- MAC Address - The MAC address of the
computer.
You can configure the following settings:
- Browse
- Specify the collection you want to search by clicking Browse to launch the Browse Collection dialog box. Specify the collection you want to search in the list, and click OK to select.
- Computer Contains
- Specify unique, identifying information about the computer you are searching for.
- User Contains
- Specify unique, identifying information about a specific user you are searching for.
- Advanced
- Click Advanced to perform an advanced search. You can
specify the following additional search criteria:
- Resource class - Use the drop-down list to
specify the resource class.
- Attribute name - Use the drop-down list to
specify the Attribute name.
- Value - Enter the value that should be used
to search with.
- Resource class - Use the drop-down list to
specify the resource class.
