To verify a Configuration Manager 2007 client is capable of supporting Network Access Protection (NAP), you can use either of the following procedures:
- Run a Configuration Manager 2007 query.
- Run a Configuration Manager 2007 report.
To verify a client is capable of supporting Network Access Protection by running a query
-
Run the following Configuration Manager 2007 query:
Copy Code Select NapEnabledCount from v_NAPSystemInfo
-
Verify that the client computer name appears in the query result. If the client appears in the query result, the client is capable of supporting Network Access Protection. If the client does not appear in the query result, the client is not capable of supporting Network Access Protection or its status is not yet known to Configuration Manager 2007.
To verify a client is capable of supporting Network Access Protection by running a report
-
Run the following Network Access Protection report: List of NAP-capable and NAP-upgradable computers.
-
Verify that the client computer name appears in the report as NAP-capable. If the client computer is listed as NAP-capable in the report, the client is capable of supporting Network Access Protection. If the client is not listed as NAP-capable in the report, the client is not capable of supporting Network Access Protection or its status is not yet known to Configuration Manager 2007.
