The License Import Wizard is used to import Microsoft and non-Microsoft software licensing information into the Configuration Manager site database from an XML-formatted licensing information file stored on a standard network shared folder.

The shared folder used to store the licensing information file should be properly secured to prevent unauthorized access to licensing information.
