Use the General tab of the Configuration Manager 2007 Software Update Point Client Installation Properties dialog box to enable software update point client installation and to configure the client package version which will be published to the software update point.
This dialog box contains the following elements:
- Enable Software Update Point Client Installation
- Select this option to enable software update point client
installation. This method of installation requires an existing
software update point.
NoteWhen you enable this option, if the available version of the client package is newer than the version published to the software update point, the Upgrade Client Package Version dialog box will open. You can use this dialog box to confirm that you want to publish the latest version of the client package to the software update point.
- Published version:
- Displays the most recent version of the Configuration Manager
2007 client package which has been published to the software update
point.
Note
If you are implementing this client installation method for the first time, then this field will be blank.
- Available version:
- Displays the most recent available version of the client installation package.
