Use the General tab in the Configuration Manager 2007 Query Rule Properties dialog box to specify a query-based membership rule for one or more collections.
The General tab contains the following elements:
- Name
- Specifies the name of the membership rule up to 50 characters. This field is required.
- Import Query Statement
- Click to open the Browse Query dialog box, which enables you to select an existing query.
- Resource class
- Specifies the standard class of resource in which to search for
the results of the query. The following options are available:
- System Resource
- User Group Resource
- User Resource
- System Resource
- Edit Query Statement
- Click to open the Query Statement Properties dialog box, which enables you to modify the selected query expression.
- Collection limiting
- Specifies whether the query will be limited to the resources of
a given collection and, if so, to which collection.The following
options are available:
- Not collection limited: Specifies that
the membership rule is not limited to a particular collection. By
default, this option is selected.
Note If you do not have security rights to read all collections, you cannot select this option. - Limit to collection: Specifies a
collection to which the membership rule will be limited.
To specify a collection, click Browse, select a collection, and then click OK.
- Not collection limited: Specifies that
the membership rule is not limited to a particular collection. By
default, this option is selected.
- OK
- Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
- Cancel
- Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
- Help
- Opens the help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
