Configuration Manager 2007 supports launching the remote tools application from the Windows command line. The methods for launching this differ for the Windows 2000 remote tools and the newer remote tools for Windows XP and later.
Procedures
To launch remote tools from the Command Line for Windows XP

To launch remote tools from the command line you must provide the required arguments. Open a command prompt and provide the following information:
RC.exe <address type> <address or resource ID> [\\Site Server Name\]Note The first address type represents the Configuration Manager 2007 Resource ID, and the second address type represents the IP address or host name of the computer you want to remote control. If the Configuration Manager 2007 database is located on different computer you must also provide the Site Server Name.
You can launch remote tools with no command line arguments; however the remote control viewer will be launched with no active connection. To establish a connection, select File - Connect and configure a remote connection.
