Desired configuration management in Configuration Manager 2007 records the following status message ID when a client computer is enabled for desired configuration management and it is assigned a configuration baseline, but compliance evaluation fails because it does not have the prerequisite .NET Framework v2.0 or later:

Use the following procedure to find this status message to identify computers that do not have the .NET Framework v2.0 or later installed.

To identify computers that do not have the .NET Framework v2.0 or later

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / System Status / Status Message Queries.

  2. Right-click the query All Status Messages, and then click Show Messages.

  3. In the All Status Messages dialog box, you are prompted for the time period for which you want to check status messages. Enter the time period or date and time, and then click OK.

  4. All status messages are displayed in the Status Message Viewer. Click the Component column, and locate the status messages with a component named Desired Configuration Management.

  5. In the Message ID column, look for 11802 to identify the computers that logged this message.

  6. For more information about these status messages, right-click a status message, and then select Detail.

  7. View the information in the Status Message Details dialog box, and then click OK to close this dialog box, or click Previous or Next to view the details of other status messages.

  8. Click OK to close the Status Message Details dialog box, and close the Status Message Viewer.
