Use the General page of the Virtual Application Package Update Wizard to specify general information about the updated virtual application package. You can also specify how associated Configuration Manager 2007 distribution points and advertisements will be managed.

Name |
Specify the name that will be assigned to the updated virtual application package. The name assigned to the previous version of the virtual application package is also displayed. |

Version |
Specify the version number that will be assigned to the updated virtual application package. The version number assigned to the previous version of the virtual application package is also displayed. You should increment the version number that will be assigned to the updated virtual application package to help distinguish this version of the virtual application package from previous versions. |

Manufacturer |
You can specify the manufacturer of the applications contained in the virtual application package. |
|
Language |
You can specify the language version of the application contained in the virtual application package. This information can be useful if you plan to have multiple language versions of the same virtual application package. |

Comment |
You can specify a comment that will be associated with the updated virtual application package. |
|
Update all distribution points with a new package source version |
Specifies if distribution points should be updated with the updated version of the virtual application package. This option is selected by default. Target computers will continue to run previous versions of the virtual application package until an updated version has been made available on an accessible distribution point and the associated advertisement has been re-run. |

Re-run advertisements with existing mandatory advertisements |
Specifies if mandatory advertisements should be re-run so that the updated version of the virtual application package is advertised to Configuration Manager 2007 clients. If you do not select this option, target computers will continue to run the previous version of the virtual application package until you re-run the associated advertisement. |
