Use the GPRS Network tab of the Configuration Manager 2007 configuration item properties dialog box to specify the general packet radio service (GPRS) default configurations to distribute to client mobile devices. Configuration items are sent to client mobile devices using the New Configuration Packages Wizard.
Specify the name and description of the configuration item to be distributed to mobile devices.
- Description
- Specifies the description of the GPRS Network configuration shown on the client device.
- Access point name
- Specifies the name of the GPRS Network configuration shown on the client device.
- Connects to
- Specifies that the GPRS Network connects via a corporate network or the Internet.
- User name (optional)
- Specifies the default user name for the GPRS Network connection.
- IP address (optional)
- Specifies the default IP address for the GPRS Network connection.
- Primary DNS (optional)
- Specifies the IP address of the primary DNS server for the GPRS Network connection.
- Secondary DNS (optional)
- Specifies the IP address of the secondary DNS server for the GPRS Network connection.
- OK
- Saves the changes and exits the dialog box.
- Cancel
- Exits the dialog box without saving any changes.
- Apply
- Saves the changes and remains in the dialog box.
- Help
- Opens the help topic for this tab of the dialog box.
