Use the Source Directory page in the Configuration Manager 2007 Create Package from Definition Wizard to specify the source directory location for the package. This page has the same functionality whether you are using a compressed version of your source files or not. If the package will always obtain files from a specified source directory, access to that directory needs to be available for as long as the package exists. If the package will use a compressed version of the source files, access to the directory is necessary until Configuration Manager 2007 has finished storing the files.
