Use the Images page to specify the boot image and the operating system image to be included in the prestaged media. This boot image will be used to initiate a task sequence that will install the operating system image.
Important |

You must specify an existing distribution point that contains the specified boot image and an existing distribution point that contains the operating system image on the site hosting the deployment. |

Boot image |
Specifies the boot image that will run from the prestaged media. Click Browse to open the Select a Boot Image dialog box. The available boot images are displayed with the associated Image ID, Architecture, and Comment information. This setting only displays boot images added to Configuration Manager 2007. |
Distribution point |
Specifies the distribution point that contains the boot image referenced by the task sequence media. You must specify an existing distribution point that contains the specified boot image. |
Show distribution points from child sites |
Displays boot image distribution points from child sites. By default, this option is not selected. If you do not select this option, only distribution points from the site where the media is created are available. |
Image package |
Specifies the boot image that will run from the media. Click Browse to open the Select an Operating System Image dialog box. The available operating system images are displayed with the associated Image ID and Comment information. This setting only displays operating system images added to Configuration Manager 2007. |
Image |
Specifies the operating system image in the image package to be included in the prestaged media. You must specify an operating system image that is present within the previously specified Image package. |
Distribution point |
Specifies the distribution point that contains the image package referenced by the task sequence media. You must specify an existing distribution point that contains the specified image package. |
Show distribution points from child sites |
Displays image package distribution points from child sites. By default, this option is not selected. If you do not select this option, only distribution points from the site where the media is created are available. |
