The Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 Asset Intelligence feature allows administrators to customize the local Asset Intelligence catalog. Using the Custom Labels node located under the Customize Catalog Configuration Manager console node, administrators can manage custom label information stored in the Asset Intelligence catalog.

Asset Intelligence custom labels allow you to create custom filters that can be used to group software titles and view them using Asset Intelligence reports based on custom label criteria that you define. For example, you can create a custom label called shareware, associate it with a number of applications, and then run a report that will show you all titles with the custom label of shareware.
