Use this tab to specify whether the Remote Tools Client Agent is installed and started on client computers in the Configuration Manager 2007 site, and to specify access and notification settings to use when connecting to client computers.
The settings specified in this tab are downloaded to client computers according the Policy Polling Interval in the Computer Client Agent Properties (by default, every 60 minutes).
This tab contains the following elements:
- Enable Remote Tools on clients
- Specifies that the remote tools client agent will be installed on all client computers in the site. If you clear the check box, the remote tools client agent will not be installed on client computers, and you cannot use Configuration Manager 2007 for remote tools sessions.
- Users cannot change Policy or Notification settings in the Remote Control Panel
- Indicates that these settings cannot be changed on client computers. If this check box is selected, the values you set in the General and Notification tabs are enforced on all client computers in the Configuration Manager 2007 site. If this check box is cleared, client computers still receive these settings by default, but users can change the settings.
